The Image of God

God gave to Moses, on Mount Sinai, the Ten Commandments, written by the finger of God, on two tablets of stone.  These tablets were to be placed in the Ark of the Covenant that God gave the design to build.  I believe that these two tablets are representative of the Image of God as the original intention for mankind.  The Torah, the first five books of the Tanakh, the Old Testament, is the Word God spoke to Moses concerning the two tablets, or the Image of God.  The Torah and the Tablets are one.  I believe the Commandments in the Ark of the Covenant IS Torah.  As well as the first 5 books of Moses, as well as the B’rit Hadashah, the New Testament.

It is quite a wonderful thing to think of the history of the children of Israel, from Father Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob/Israel, to the sons of Jacob, sojourning in the land of Egypt.  Eventually become enslaved to the Egyptians after hundreds of years.  Being delivered and brought out of Egypt by the Mighty Hand of God! Passing through the Red Sea, and then, Moses, up on Mount Sinai, after all the amazing, miraculous events leading up to this moment, receives the tablets with the Ten Commandments.

All the miraculous events, all the wonders on Mount Sinai, the setting apart of the children of Israel, ALL for the RETURN, symbolically, of the Image of God to earth, to Man.

The Temple of Solomon was symbolic of the body of man, the living Temple Yeshua spoke of.  The Holy of Holies in the Temple, the inner most place in the Temple, is the place, the dwelling place, of the Image of God.  How much more should we who have been born again into a living Faith in Yeshua HaMashiach, give attention to the Torah.  The Torah that is to be WRITTEN on our hearts, by the Holy Spirit.  Every day we should give ourselves to study of the Torah, and KEEPING the Torah, as in the Tanakh, and B’rit Hadashah.
